After playing professional hockey in Germany in the late 1970’s, Lawson moved to Calgary and started his career in the kitchen business. With a start managing a retail outlet for Kitchen Craft Canada, Earl opened up operations in Vancouver and took over ownership of the company. Subsequently, he partnered in the opening of Showcase Kitchen Interiors, which eventually evolved into its current manifestation as V6B design group.
